About Location Scouting

While shooting a scene on the set of a commercial for the American Dairy Association in his days as a production assistant, Jeff was standing in the vicinity of the director when news came down that the barn where the next day’s shooting was supposed to take place, had burned to the ground. While production scrambled to change schedules, the director looked at Jeff, and said, “go find us a new barn”. With that, Jeff was off and running in a career of location scouting for the film and advertising industry that would eventually span more than 20 years.

Now based out of Portland, OR., Jeff is still accepting work as a location scout both regionally and nationally. He offers a creative eye, a fresh perspective, and a thorough knowledge of the business, meeting both the creative and budgetary requirements of any production. Jeff is also available as an on-set still photographer.

And in case you were wondering, he found an even better barn to replace the one that burned down.
